Cefalu Resort Sporting Club

Stayed for 2 weeks in July and ate very well. Beautiful location with great facilities and a wonderful beach. Easy bus ride away from Cefalù town. Kind staff. Only downside was that a piece of jewellery ‘disappeared’ from beside my bed one day after the cleaners came so don’t leave any valuable or sentimental items in the bedroom.

Beautiful village, splendid location on the sea just a few km from Cefalù The rooms are comfortable and clean. In case of disability or greater comfort you must immediately ask for the rooms on the ground floor. The beach, served by a shuttle, is just a few steps away, sunbeds and umbrellas are well equipped. Different areas for sports, tennis, five-a-side football... Large swimming pool. Regarding the catering, nothing exceptional but everything reasonably good, the only flaw is the buffet which, due to uncivilized people, is attacked for no reason because the food is plentiful.

Poor service from the staff, the door handle was broken upon arrival the stove was in disrepair. Additionally there was no option for fresh water within the facility, our safe was inoperable AND we discovered ants in the wardrobe closet that infested our bags which ultimately led to us to leaving early. The breakfast was scary to say the least but at least the view from the upper apartments were nice. I cannot recommend this place ever.

I can only give a good rating to the location. Place I will never return to. I'm here right now (9/23 10pm) and I'm not leaving just because I would be in default on the contract and they refuse to give a refund. On a day of heavy rain they deliver the rooms at 8.15pm only upon insistence, replying that check in is scheduled for 5pm ONWARDS, so it's not a big flaw. The people who receive the keys find the room dirty with the previous family's unmade beds. I ask to speak to the director or a manager of the facility: Non-existent. I ask to contact him by phone: they tell me he doesn't work on Saturdays and Sundays and to call back on Monday (when I'll be home). Just enough food, the organizer had guaranteed, given the inconvenience, that the buffet would end at 10pm. At 9.15pm however the kitchen closes and there is no longer a dish. I complained about it to the meter who told me that nothing was communicated to them and he has no contact with the organizer. Everything is terrible, especially the lack of management of the group and the way of not dealing with problems. A boy indicated to me as the director/owner or manager denies being one and refuses to qualify his role.
